Celebrate International Week at Huron!
November 21-25 is International Week at Huron, Brescia, Kings and Western. Several events are occurring across all 4 campuses.
Join us at Huron for our signature event entitled “Critical Global Engagement: From Local to Global” on Wednesday, November 23rd in Huron's Great Hall from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This event is an opportunity to think about critical and informed engagement, both locally and abroad.
Huron’s World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Local Committee will talk about ‘Huron WUSC and Critical Global Engagement’ where they will discuss the successes of this student-led organization and how you can get involved. You will also meet students who are studying at Huron because of the work of the WUSC committee. Katy Boychuk, Community Planning Specialist with United Way London & Middlesex and Huron University College Alumna, will talk about ‘Community Connections’ and opportunities for students to get involved beyond the classroom.
We hope you can join us! It is a great opportunity to meet fellow students and to learn more about how volunteering and service are both highly localized and globally interconnected practices.
