“The only normal way to begin speaking in a new language is to begin speaking badly” (Greg Thomson). Language is a social skill, and as such, the best way to improve your fluency and knowledge of a new language is by speaking with others! But how? Maybe you are too shy to speak up in class, or maybe you want more practice outside of class and have no one to talk with.
Well, you need to drop in and join us at Western’s French Conversation Group. We will be in room AHB 2R09 every Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm talking and practicing our French in a fun, pressure-free, and easy-going environment. It is a great chance to improve your listening and speaking skills while meeting great people and getting a much deserved coffee break with free snacks. You can drop by to any session and stay for as little or as long as you’d like. Feeling nervous to speak up? Don’t be! Your level or background in the language is not important. We will all be practicing and learning.
Just come on by and get some free snacks and coffee or tea, and let’s talk!
