The Civic & Heritage Plaques & Monuments Downtown London Discovery Walking Tour

Payment for this tour must be received by Friday November 18, 2016. Please register and make your payment by November 18 to secure your spot in this tour.

If payment is not received by November 18, unpaid spots will be made available to students on a wait list. Students will be receiving Downtown Dollars to offset the cost of their participation in this tour.


Starting at City Hall, this tour includes a meet and greet with Mayor Matt Brown and other city Councilors. Have your photo taken and gain insight into the heart of London's municipal political life. Next, discover the fascinating story behind London’s Facades during the Plaques & Monuments Walking Tour towards the London Public Library. There will be a multi-institution reception at 4:00 p.m. Come to mingle and meet with International Students from other institutions across the city.  Meet the Mayor and representatives from various companies and institutions. Stay and enjoy the refreshments and treats! 

Tour Bus Leaves at 12:45 p.m. from Alumni Hall. Please note that buses are only one way. Students must find their own transportation home at the end of the tour.

The Tour Begins at City Hall at 1:30 p.m.

At City Hall, there will be a meet & greet with the Mayor and other city officials, as well as a tour of Council Chambers. The Plaques & Monuments Walking Tour Will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Students will be on a guided tour towards the London Public Library, 251 Dundas Street. Students will arrive at the Stevenson and Hunt Room (main floor) for 3:45 p.m. There will be a Reception from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

To maximize your enjoyment of this tour, please wear warm clothing suitable for the weather conditions and comfortable walking shoes or boots.
