Preventable vision loss and related symptoms due to Vitamin A deficiency
This team proposed improving the distribution of Vitamin A supplements in developing countries by establshing partnerships between private-sector corporations and non-governmental organizations. The team looked piloting their solution specifically at Mozambique, where the World Health Organization reports 65% of preschool-aged children and 14% of pregnant women are Vitamin A deficient.
